Cory Weeds Little Big Band
The Cory Weeds Little Big Band brings a FULL big band sound in a much smaller package! This 11-piece ensemble draws its inspiration from the great little big band records of Eddie Lockjaw Davis (Train Whistle) and Gene Ammons (Late Hour Special).
The band returns to La Fabrique as it prepares to head back into the studio in the New Year. The band will be performing music from its first two recordings on Cellar Music alongside new arrangements by Jill Townsend, Bill Coon, Julian Borkowski and Brad Turner, all of which are being prepared for the group’s next recording.
The band features Jesse Cahill on drums, John Lee on bass, Chris Gestrin on piano, Cory Weeds, Steve Kaldestad, James Danderfer and Dave Say on saxophones, Julian Borkowski and Brad Turner on trumpets, and Brian Harding and Cam Henderson on trombones and is directed by Jill Townsend.
