Chen Baker is the jazz/jazz fusion project of Vancouver guitarist/composer Jeffery Chen. Much like the great Chet Baker, whose name he cleverly borrows from, Jeffery plays jazz with a sensibility of pop music. He is heavily inspired by Japanese jazz artists such as Masayoshi Takanaka, Sadao Watanabe, and Casiopea; as well as Western greats like Charlie Parker, Wes Montgomery, and Chet Baker (duh).
